The Okanogan Basin Monitoring and Evaluation Program (OBMEP): Since its inception in the spring of 2004, OBMEP has provided the Colville Tribes, our resource management partners, and the general public within the Upper Columbia with specific data on anadromous fish populations and habitat conditions in the Okanogan River basin. This information helps resource managers identify critical habitat, design and implement best management practices and prescribe restoration actions. As a fundamental monitoring and evaluation program, OBMEP seeks to provide long-term, status and trend information on all anadromous fish species in the basin and to monitor the effectiveness of recovery actions for the next 20 years.
